Workshop 1: Finding Your Story Idea

Keen to work on your creative writing, but not sure where to start? In this session, we’ll play with writing prompts to help you start your story. You’ll come away from the workshop with writing ideas and prose that you can develop into a piece of short fiction.

Writer-in-residence Amy Lord leads a series of writing workshops designed to inspire writers and generate new story ideas, as well as help writers to learn new story writing techniques and develop their self-editing skills. These workshops will encourage participants to enter this year’s short story competition.

This event will take place at Darlington library 10am-12pm.
