The birth of the railways created new opportunities for criminal activity and consequently police work. As we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Stockton and Darlington Railway meet two authors and their railway detectives; Edward Marston with Detective Inspector Robert Colbeck and Andrew Martin with detective Jim Stringer. Broadcaster Bob Fischer will be in conversation with Edward and Andrew about their books, research, railways and why they make a great setting for a detective novel.
