M J Robotham and Emma Flint (BSL Interpreted)
This event will be signed by a British Sign Language interpreter.
A former midwife and journalist, Mandy (MJ) Robotham swapped birth for books and published her first novel in 2018. Since then, she has been a USA Today and Globe & Mail bestseller, with eight historical dramas. Her faux memoir The Scandalous Life of Ruby Devereaux was published in 2024 by Head of Zeus, followed this year by Mrs Spy.
Emma Flint has been drawn to true-crime stories since her childhood in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Her first novel, Little Deaths, was inspired by an infamous crime that took place in 1960s New York. Little Deaths was longlisted for several awards, including the Women’s Prize for Fiction. Emma’s second novel, Other Women, was selected as a Zoe Ball BBC Radio 2 Book Club pick. Also inspired by a real case, it tells the story of a love triangle in 1920s London that ends in murder.
