The design on my library card reads: “My library card changed my life!” and in this instance it truly has. I am absolutely buzzing to announce I have been selected as Reader in Residence for Stockton-on-Tees for the 2026 Crossing the Tees festival.
As a lifelong member of Stockton libraries, it would be fair to say that I’m a massive fan. I love everything about libraries, and I can’t wait to share the delights that can be discovered inside. Libraries are inclusive open spaces that are for everyone, no matter who you are, how old you might be and where you’re at in your life right now.
If you don’t already know what’s available across our service, I hope you will follow me on my discovery journey as I explore beyond the shelves, and into hidden gems in our collection, to create and develop three events that celebrate libraries and shine a light on the magic of reading!
