Crossing the Tees Book Festival

We really missed seeing you all in our library venues for Crossing the Tees 2020 but are happy to confirm that, thanks to Arts Council England funding, Crossing the Tees 2021 will take place in June 2021 with many authors and speakers already engaged.

Confirmed events include North East crime writer Trevor Wood who has been selected for Harrogate Crime Writing Festival’s New Blood Crime Authors 2020; environmental writer Tim Smedley whose book ‘Clearing the Air’ won The Royal Society Insight Investment Science Book Prize 2019 and Tall Tales Mysteries with a Peaky Blinders themed murder mystery for you to enjoy.

Meanwhile the Crossing the Tees Short Story Competition is now open for entries. It is free to enter and open to anyone age 16+. All shortlisted entries will be published in an anthology with cash prizes for first, second and third placed entries. Download the entry form for more details.
